In a distinguished academic achievement, Al-Riyada University has been granted permanent membership in the Association of Arab Universities, during its active participation in the 57th General Conference of the Association, organized by the International University in Kuwait on 23–24 April 2025, under the theme:

"Arab Higher Education in the Era of Digital Transformation and Enhancing Regional Integration."

Professor Dr. Nahla Al-Kaaki, President of Al-Riyada University, affirmed that this achievement represents a strategic milestone in the University’s journey to strengthen its regional and international standing. She explained that the University relies on a comprehensive strategy based on innovation, digitalization, and building advanced scientific partnerships to support the higher education system. She also highlighted that permanent membership in the Association provides a valuable opportunity to engage with Arab universities, establish strategic work partnerships, exchange academic expertise, and achieve mutual recognition of programs, contributing to the enhancement of education quality and collaborative scientific research.

Meanwhile, Dr. Saleh Hassan Baoum, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Riyada University, expressed his deep pride in this prestigious accomplishment, praising the continuous efforts of the Al-Riyada University community under the leadership of Professor Dr. Nahla Al-Kaaki and a clear, ambitious vision. Dr. Baoum emphasized that obtaining permanent membership is a true recognition of the University’s diligent and distinguished work through its strategic plans, opening wide prospects for expanding regional and international cooperation and strengthening the University’s position as a leading academic center in the Arab world.

The conference was attended by over 250 Arab universities, discussing ways to enhance regional integration, develop AI applications in education, consolidate e-learning systems, and prepare graduates for the demands of the future labor market.

At the conclusion of its participation, Al-Riyada University affirmed its commitment to utilizing this permanent membership to benefit its students and faculty, through launching specialized academic and research initiatives and expanding partnerships with Arab universities and institutions in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The University also extended its sincere thanks to the Association of Arab Universities and the International University in Kuwait for their excellent organization and hospitality, affirming its continued commitment to pioneering efforts and achieving further accomplishments in the future.
