Al-Riyada University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Nahla Saleh Al-Kaaki, actively participated in the expanded scientific workshop entitled “Quality of Postgraduate Programs in Yemeni Higher Education Institutions: Reality and Development Mechanisms.” The workshop was organized by the Academic Accreditation Council and Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Aden, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, and supervised by Professor Dr. Sawsan Mohammed Bakhabirah.

The workshop, which witnessed broad participation from university leaders and specialists, was held during 16–17 December 2025. It addressed several key themes, including quality standards for postgraduate programs, prospects for academic partnerships, and the presentation of experiences from a selection of leading Yemeni universities.

In this context, Professor Dr. Nahla Al-Kaaki emphasized during the workshop sessions Al-Riyada University’s developmental vision and strategic commitment to continuing its distinguished academic journey. She highlighted the University’s efforts and preparations to launch postgraduate (Master’s) programs in Accounting and Business Administration at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, as well as Information Technology at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, in accordance with the highest nationally and internationally recognized standards of quality and academic accreditation.

This distinguished participation reflects Al-Riyada University’s leading position and national responsibility within the Yemeni academic landscape, as well as its effective contribution to shaping policies for the development of higher education and advancing postgraduate programs to keep pace with global best practices. This stems from the University’s firm belief that the quality of education and postgraduate research constitutes a cornerstone in building the future and fostering societal development.
