Educational Sessions Officially Launched
Under the supervision of the President of Al-Riyada University, the Distance Learning College has officially launched its academic program with live, synchronous educational sessions via the Zoom platform across the following departments:
- Business Administration
- Accounting
- Islamic Studies
- Sharia and Law
More than 40 educational sessions were conducted during the first phase. All sessions were documented, with links and video recordings uploaded to the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring students can access them anytime.
In parallel, the college has begun recording lectures to provide them on the LMS as educational videos for each course, supporting asynchronous learning. These recordings are uploaded continuously, allowing students to follow the material at their own pace and enhance content comprehension.
For student assessments, the Distance Learning College has started preparing a question bank for all courses. Course instructors develop the questions under the supervision of the college dean and in coordination with the university’s Quality Assurance Department, ensuring adherence to academic standards and fairness in evaluations and examinations.
These initiatives reflect the college’s commitment to maintaining the continuity of education, providing a comprehensive digital learning environment that combines live sessions with self-paced, multimedia-supported learning, enhancing educational outcomes and achieving the university’s goals in e-learning.
