Al-Riyada University’s Faculty of Administrative Sciences Celebrates International Accounting Day
In line with global celebrations of International Accounting Day, the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Al-Riyada University, organized a distinguished scientific seminar this morning, Monday, under the title: “Towards Enhancing Trust, Integrity, and Transparency in the Accounting Profession,” highlighting the vital role of accounting in comprehensive development.
The event opened with a welcoming speech by Prof. Nahla Saleh Al-Kaaki, University President, in which she expressed her gratitude to the faculty and students for organizing the seminar. She also encouraged all faculties and academic departments to engage in celebrating international days related to their fields, promoting meaningful events and accompanying activities.
During the seminar, a series of scholarly papers enriched the audience:
- Dr. Mohammed Al-Talibi, Dean of the Faculty, presented a paper titled: “The Evolution of Practical Accounting Applications.”
- Dr. Walaa Farid offered an in-depth analysis on “Current Trends in Accounting.”
- Dr. Afaf Farhan discussed “The Importance of Accounting for the National Economy.”
The seminar also featured active student participation. Fourth-year students presented a study on “The Role of Accounting Information in Administrative Decision-Making,” delivered in Arabic by the outstanding student Adeela Adel, and in English by the student Saleh.
The seminar concluded with expressions of thanks to all professors and students who contributed to the success of this academic event, emphasizing the importance of continuing to support activities that enrich knowledge and expertise in the field of accounting.
