Al-Riyada University Holds Charity Food Festival to Support Kidney Dialysis Patients Under the Slogan: “Share Your Goodness… Be a Reason for a Better Life”

As part of its social responsibility and leadership in humanitarian initiatives, Al-Riyada University organized a charity food festival today, Thursday, November 6, 2025, to support kidney dialysis patients.

The event embodied the spirit of social solidarity by offering a variety of food dishes, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting dialysis patients and easing their suffering. The funds aim to provide essential medications, medical supplies, and healthcare services, especially under the challenging living conditions in the country.

The festival was organized under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Talibi, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, and Dr. Kholda Khaled Al-Ban, Head of the Business Administration Department. It was carried out by students from the Business Administration and Accounting departments, along with the university’s Student Activities Committee, represented by Dr. Baraa Haidar, Director of Student Activities and Community Service.

This initiative reflects Al-Riyada University’s commitment to instilling values of generosity and humanity, while reinforcing its leading role in community service.

The opening ceremony was attended by Eng. Ali Abdullah Al-Zubaidi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Director of Al-Riyada Hospital; Prof. Nahla Al-Kaaki, University President; Dr. Salem Ghanem, Vice President; deans of faculties; department heads; the Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Development Center; and university staff.

The festival saw strong participation from students, parents, faculty members, and teaching assistants.

The event also included orphans from the Tayseer Bint Hadramout Foundation for Development and Orphan Care, accompanied by the foundation’s director, Dr. Afrah Tayseer. All attendees praised the success of the event and the high quality of its organization.
