Inspection and Coordination Visit to Aboud Military Hospital
As part of strengthening community and academic partnerships, the University conducted an official visit to Aboud Military Hospital, represented by Professor Dr. Nahla Saleh Al-Kaaki, President of the University, accompanied by Dr. Fatimah Talib Abadil, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Dr. Baraa Sanad Haidar, Director of the Activities and Community Service Department.
During the visit, the delegation met with Dr. Arif Al-Daari, Head of the Medical Services Department of the Armed Forces and Southern Security, Dr. Rania Alawi Farhan, Director of Aboud Military Hospital, Dr. Abduh Fadel, Medical Director, and Dr. Jamila Ali Haidarah, Director of the Quality Management Department.
The primary objective of the visit was to discuss the necessary arrangements for signing a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would allow medical students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to undertake clinical placements and complete their practical training in the various departments of the hospital.
A working meeting was held during which both parties discussed the requirements for clinical training and the academic quality standards necessary for the practical training program. The meeting emphasized the mutual benefits of this collaboration in enhancing the competence of future medical professionals and supporting the hospital with academic expertise.
Following the meeting, the delegation conducted a comprehensive inspection tour of the hospital’s departments, during which they reviewed daily workflow mechanisms and assessed the available capabilities in terms of medical equipment and the diversity of clinical cases. The visit concluded with positive outcomes, noting the availability of strong training resources, and a preliminary agreement was reached to proceed with the executive steps toward signing the Memorandum of Understanding.
